Ruthie is so excited in her workshop today!

I tried to make my own handmade soaps with just some soap base, food coloring and lavender essential oil and they came out AWESOME for a first try!

First I gathered all my materials, cut the soap base into small pieces and placed them on the cooker to melt.

When the soap became liquid, I added the coloring and the lavender essential oil (FYI, the soap base stinks and it definitely needs some aroma enhancement).

Then I poured my mixture into the casts which I had slightly covered with some cooking oil (just a little oil to make sure the soaps wouldn't stick in the casts)

A few minutes later my soaps were ready and I was excited to hold them in my hands!

They smelled great and I was then able to take a few cool shots to advertise my new "products" on my Facebook page!

I bet they're gonna make pretty cool favors for my nephew's christening or our summer religious wedding ceremony this year... We have plenty of time to think about it... and experiment with some more shapes, scents and colors!

Have a great Saturday night you all!

Mr @trumpman wants to eat soap just because you made it? Lol. Love is more like weed... I want some 🤓

Love the photos as always. Love the process... Quite different from making liquid soap which is what I am used to making. This one looks elegant and stylish. The type that would whisper in my money loving ears, 'brand this shit and put it on Amazon or sell it for Steem.' Anyway... That's just me obsessing over material things like money :D

These will make wonderful gifts! Beautiful!
Reblogging and sharing on Twitter. Great idea. Everybody loves lavender. And commercial soaps have so many additives that can irritate the skin. This would be a great alternative.

Great gifts, yes! My mother-in-law already asked for one, she loved them!

Later I will do some more reading to find oils that help the skin, perhaps make some scrub soaps using coffee grains or poppy or kiwi seeds (we have plenty of kiwis). I guess, I will not have to worry about what to gift my friends this year, I already found a new hobby! 🤣

Thank you for sharing, dear friend!
Have a blessed Sunday! ❤🤗

Well done again - so good to create

Thank you!! And congratulations on your brother again!! Long live the happy couple!!💕

Appreciate your wishes Ruth

Oh, they are so sweet. I guess it wasn't so difficult to make them, but I believe everything that was built by ourselves has some important meaning and it makes us proud. I just started to cook by myself completely and even when my meal doesn't look good, I feel so excited.

It's all about the feeling of accomplishment! Keep being creative and thank you for coming over! 😄

They look super tasty
