We're making progress on the '95 Fleetwood Southwind we call Windy. This past week was still painting and taping and painting and sanding and painting. LOL If you want to see the previous posts on this reconstruction
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
We decided to paint the fabric on the window treatments. They are so old and stained and it's not worth recovering them at this point.
This one is taped off so it doesn't get painted white.
We're painting them black with a homemade chalk paint. This one is two third's done. It doesn't show how bad the patterned part is, though you can see some of the rust colored stain. It's pretty ugly in person. The black looks good. It's going to be a challenge to paint without splattering. Some of the window treatments can't be removed. They'll have to be painted in place. I see a lot of plastic lining in my future. ha ha.
This strip of trim will be ironed on the cabinet connectors and then painted white to match the cabinets.
Slowly but surely she is starting to come back together. It rained all week and we were delighted to find that there are no more roof leaks. We did discover two window leaks, but Del thinks he got those fixed today. fingers crossed. Of course this is Texas so who knows when it will rain again.
I have a close friend here that refers to herself in the same sentiment, Crazy Lady! She's awesome. Anyways, looks like y'all are hard at work like we are! Very cool :) I was prepping this wall for a make over after removing the wall that covered it up, crazy...
