Travel to Maine from Iowa

It’s been 6 months since our last RV vacation. This is unusually long time between travels for us. Our family of 4 and a dog has been an avid traveler and we visit national parks near and far whenever we get an opportunity.
Boys are now responsible teenagers and are more help than work. Dog is a good car rider also and doesn’t fuss at all. Hubs loves to drive and I chip in when he needs a break or gets super sleepy for no reason at all.

RV- Mercedes Winnebago motor home 25 ft long, one slide, able to boondocks due to some solar panel additions.
We are pulling our Jeep - rubicon hybrid 2021.

This trip is Starlink satellite dish maiden trip too! We have always struggled with no internet in some wilderness areas. Let’s see if Elon Musk can be of some assistance.

Navigation system- Garmin equipped with a camera in the back. Hubs is a super paranoid person, wants to make sure the Jeep doesn’t suddenly grow wings and flies off or rebels against the tow bar and breaks free. The unit we use is especially made for RV’s and makes sure we use RV compatible routes.

Food- frozen marinated chicken, wings, edamame, jalapeño poppers, black bean burgers, mozzarella sticks.
Fruits and salads, eggs, milk, coffee, water, juice, buns, treats for boys and dog. Hubs M&M’s. Top ramen is another family fav on trips.

The total distance is about 1450 miles. We hope to get there in 2.5 days- driving 6-7 hrs a day. We are taking it easy with time spent driving this trip. We hope to enjoy evenings by the camp fires.
