At all eight cores
The popular overclocker der8auer boasts a new breakthrough, says notebookcheck. It has managed to overclock the newly announced AMD Ryzen 7 2700X processor to the incredible 6,009.34 MHz using liquid nitrogen cooling (LN2). The most interesting thing is that he has managed to do this for all eight CPU cores.
To achieve this, der8auer initially chose the cores that can be stably overclocked with air cooling. The processor is then placed on the Asus ROG Crosshair VII Bottom, which uses the new X470 chipset.
To incorporate its nitrogen cooler, der8auer removes all unnecessary components around the sink. Despite the achievement of 6GHz, the Ryzen 7 2700X (2,627 points) failed to overtake the Core i7-7820X, which had 2,739 points.
