Chapter 1
Less is more
Hi I'm John, I own a 1994 Nissan Silvia, this is my first write up on Steem and I'm looking forward to sharing my car stories and experiences with you.
I might as well start with my latest project which is this 1994 Nissan Silvia Kings edition.
The car was Imported to the Uk some time in 2016. I had just sold my s13 and shortly after wanted another car to play with.
When I got hold of the car it was as standard as it gets and I wanted a clean base to work with this time around. I had owned 2 s13's previously and each one came with a large amount of issues and I wasn't about to go through that again.
It didn't take long for me to start ordering parts and I had managed to also accumulate some parts for the s13 which I had not yet fit.
I bought some r33 wheels, a set of second hand BC coil overs and fitted everything to the car. After fitting the coilover I noticed that the right rear coilover was knocking, which I later discovered was a bent damper rod.
It was at this point that I had to remind me self that there are some components which should always be bought brand new. After a brief chat with the seller I got some money back and bought a new damper.
I played around a little bit with ride height and had it setup as above for a few months, before mustering up the courage and dropping the car further.
With a little bit of adjustment I managed to get the car lower, but It still wasn't what I wanted.
Styling wise I thought the car is almost there, I thought it needed very few additional things done to the exterior to make it look any better.
To be continued....
