Former Senate nominee in Alabama and alleged pedophile Roy Moore became yet another Republican ensnared by British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's genius. In his new show "Who Is America", Cohen set up an interview with Moore posing as Israeli soldier Erran Morad to discuss Israel's latest military technology.
Cohen claimed Israel had developed a technology that could detect pedophiles on schools and playgrounds.
“If they detect a pedophile the wand alerts the law enforcement and the schools within a 100-mile radius,” says Morad brandishing the wand like instrument. “It’s very, very simple to use. You just switch it on and because neither of us is a sex offender then it makes absolutely nothing.”
He then proceeds to wave it over himself, and then Moore. Just watch:
"I’ve been married for 33 years and never had an accusation of such things,” said Moore in response to the detector going off. “If this is an instrument, I’m certainly not a pedophile, okay? Maybe Israeli technology hasn’t developed properly.”
“This is 99.8 percent accurate,” Morad replies. “It is not saying that you are a pedophile.” At that point Moore ends the interview and declares he is leaving.
“I do not support this kind of stuff,” he says.
Moore's career is already over, so he's not going to suffer the same type of humiliation Georgia Republican Jason Spencer did last week, but he continued comeuppance is deserved. Moore was accused my multiple women of sexual misconduct during his Senate campaign against Democrat Doug Jones, one of whom was 14 years old at the time of the incident.
