Observation saves my life

Living in Denver years ago driving my little Mazda RX7, speeding which I always did. I look over and an official in an unmarked car is motioning me to pull over the red light flashing on top of his vehicle.

I slow down thinking I am getting a ticket. While pulling over I look at him as he makes a mistake by smiling at me.

He is missing a front tooth. Now I ask you have you ever seen a policeman missing a front tooth? I pick up my cell phone and call 911. He sees this and zooms off. I am in pursuit of this fake cop.

The 911 operators say not to chase him. I lost him near a small shopping center with a fishing store in it.

The observation of the missing tooth most likely saves my life.

This post is about teeth. I went to the dentist for a check up and it got me to thinking about teeth.

There will post about eyes since I need to get a new eyeglass prescription.

This country’s insurance is so screwed up. I think dental care should be free for all, but it is very expensive here. However this guy’s lack of dental care saves my life.

is it really ???

Really what? It is expensive.

I want to asking you abt why dental care is so expensive over there ?

Because it is. I have no idea .. all medical care is expensive.

When I lived in Las Vegas it took 3 months to get a dentist. A shortage there.

thanks :) I saw that
I am on laptop

Did he have a cop uniform on? A flashing red light on your roof would be huge bait to the real cops for being busted.

I wonder what his intentions were? Surely not just to give you a counterfeit ticket.

I could not really tell what he was wearing. I was driving fast. At first, he pulled up next to me and motioned for me to slow down. We have unmarked cars over here for detectives.

He most likely had bad intentions, if you know what I mean.

He most likely had bad intentions, if you know what I mean.

I do, we have plenty of 'those' here too.

Yep! Well, he should have gotten dental care. Wish I would have helped them catch him. Creepy.

In this day and age it's even more important for females to be diligent. Knowing Krav Maga also helps!

I believe a long time ago @mammasitta did a post and we were talking about the martial arts. You are right we have to know certain moves.

Krav Maga is the most practical. It's purely self defense. Get in and get out!

I did look it up ... did you study it?

Long story short - no. But I've always wanted to! There's a legit one in Boston but it's expensive. Like $2,000 a year expensive.

howdy there rebeccabe! Hey this is such an important reminder for everyone, we have to be consciously thinking this way everyday, I really believe that in the times we live in. Great post!

Howdy @janton thank you, Sir.
Too bad that is the state of thing.

howdy again rebeccabe! yes Ma'am it is sad but it's the world we live in, I just hope it doesn't get worse. People in Europe tell me they can go anywhere and it's completely safe with no bad guys and almost no crime but here in the U.S.? no way! Have we fallen that far?
Is it the Wild West again? lol.

@janton it probably depends on where you live in Europe just like in the states.
I remember hearing about some guy killing people on the London Bridge last year. 2 people were a couple from the states on vacation celebrating their wedding anniversary.

We just have to be on the lookout. :)

howdy again rebeccabe! well yes, I remember that story and the Americans, that was terrible. And London does seem to be a place they like to attack.

I'm so glad you noticed! There seems to be a lot of people out there pretending to be police or highway patrol. I've heard of this happening many times before. Scary.

Crazy, I was just thinking of you about 3 hours ago. How do you do that? It says you commented 3 hours ago. How are you doing?

Yes, I have had other incidences, I believe the universe takes such good care of me.

Haha, serendipity I guess. : ) Things are great @rebeccabe. Lots of good things are happening that I can't share yet.

I've had those incidences too. I was attacked randomly about six years ago while walking the dog in our neighborhood after dark. Just before it happened I had this overwhelming feeling of peace. The attacker was drunk (or high) and just stopped his car, got out, and started wailing on me. To this day I don't know if it was a case of mistaken identity or what. I couldn't properly defend myself because I had the leash in one hand and didn't want to let Amstel loose on the busy street. The attacker went back to his car (I assumed to get a weapon) but changed his mind at the last minute and drove off. I escaped it all pretty much unscathed. I just had a few scratches on my face. The police were very kind but were able to do nothing in the end since I only was able to get a partial plate number. What a crazy experience that was.

I am so glad you are okay. Yes, we are protected.

Interesting story... as for healthcare, yes, at least in the US we can and should do a better job to cover folks, while reducing costs. The data says we can do this. I know for a fact, since I work in healthcare, that we can certainly provide better care. There are also plenty of places to save money, simply by not allowing patients to get gouged.

I appreciate your comment. Are you a medical doctor?

Its crazy just how expensive dental care is. Ugh. So glad you noticed his missing tooth and trusted your intuition <333 :) Right on! Much love!!
