Alegrias - The Three Masted Gaff Rigged Schooner

in sailing •  7 years ago

Alegrias berthed in Durban harbour – South Africa.

Built and designed in Australia by Alan Lucas, author of many books on sailing, Alegrias was his ultimate cruising yacht.

We bought it from the late Mike Robinson, sailor of the seven seas, who after spending 11 months with us refurbishing Alegrias, sailed with us on our first voyage.
He then went back to Zimbabwe for about a year after which he returned to Oz and taught fly fishing in the Snowy mountains.
He is now adventuring in very different seas.

Where on the vast oceans are you now Alegrias???
