Pharma shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday's session with their sectoral index trading flat.
Shares of Cadila Healthcare (up 1.72 per cent) , Divi's Laboratories (up 1.3 per cent) , Biocon (up 0.57 per cent) , Lupin (up 0.22 per cent) and Cipla (up 0.19 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Torrent Pharmaceuticals (down 1.12 per cent) , Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 1.07 per cent) , Aurobindo Pharma (down 1.03 per cent) , Dr Reddys Laboratories (down 0.46 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories (down 0.29 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.11 per cent down at 10181.65 around 12:20PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 82.10 points at 10371.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 273.35 points at 35115.45.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, BHEL, ITC, Tata Power, Tata Motors, Indian Oil Corp, SBI, Federal Bank and IndusInd Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
