SAM Something about me - my jobs

SAM - Something about me is a challenge created by @bluemoon to encourage us to share more about ourselves. It is up to us how much we would like to reveal.

In one of my previous posts I wrote about my current job. I am Logistics coordinator, but before I was doing different jobs and the very first one was a hairdresser.

Our education system at that time when I was young, was set in such way that some of tne kids studied in their last grades some trade. They got job right away after they finished school, based on what they have studied - mechanics, seamstresses, builders, etc. Others were studing the major subjects that will help them to prepare for the universities to continue their education and to become doctors, lawers, economists, etc. Of course not everyone could pass the exams. What these kids were supposed to do? Any nonqualified job. Not a good perspective. It was made an experiment for those kids to go to another school in their last grade and to learn some trade. That is how I end up learning for hairdresser. I did not pass the exams after school and I have to start working. So, one year I was a hairdresser, but this was not my dream work. I did not see myself doing this many years, so I prepared myself for the next year exams and I passed. I continue in a college of tourism. My next job was a tourist guide. I loved to be a tourist guide and I had fantastic memories of those years in the resort of Albena, on the northern sea coast of the Black Sea.

Being a tourist guide was great, but consumes all of your time. I was young, energetic and worked during the summer season without a break. I could not do that nowdays. But then, it was fun and enjoyment, meeting new people every second week and going on tours alongside the coast was fantastic. I loved travelling and what better to travel and being paid.

After three years I got married and had my baby and that was the end of my career as a tourist guide. But I kept on working in hotels as receptionist for some time. Later I have to find better paid job with better conditions for an young mother. So I left the resorts and began my new job in a factory producing sugar in their trade department. Five years later I moved to the current place. First in procurement and later in logistics department. This yesr I will turn 20 years working for that same company.
