The company's hopes are in the Galaxy S9
Samsung's market share in China fell to 0.8% in the last quarter of 2017, according to a study of Strategy Analytics, quoted by Softpedia. The company ranks 12th among manufacturers, and local manufacturers Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi are headed by the supplied smartphones. Apple was fifth, according to the study.

This development is quite surprising considering the first place the company held in the 2011-2013 period. The negative development for the Korean manufacturer is mostly attributable to the rapid prosperity of Chinese companies.

Samsung still hopes that with the launch of the Galaxy S9 in the country will be able to regain some of the lost positions. According to unconfirmed information, however, sales of the new series are below expectations globally.
