The Samsung recently confirmed that its first foldable smartphone , supposedly called Galaxy F , arrives next year . Now more information about the device has begun to emerge in the manufacturer's country. According to South Korean newspapers, the device will begin to be produced soon and the company would have already set the size of the device's screen.
According to unconfirmed details, the Galaxy F will have a 7.3-inch display when open and can also be used with a 4.3-inch screen when closed. Basically, the device should be a hybrid between smartphone and tablet.
When the device is folded, the indoor display will be turned off to save power. The Phone Arena indicates that the device should also have a sort of "hinge" on the larger screen to avoid "impact problems", which may make the smartphone look similar to the one below (which is not official).
Samsung would be preparing only 100,000 units of the device for launch, since the product has some experimental degree. Despite this, South Korean media speculate that the company intends to sell more than 1 million units of the foldable smartphone by the end of 2019. The South Korean manufacturer should release new information on the Galaxy F during an event next week , when it should present news about the operating system of the device for its developers.
Samsung has not yet revealed the release date of its foldable smartphone, but with confirmation that the gadget arrives next year, it may be that the company announces the alleged Galaxy F officially lasts at CES 2019.
