Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit

in sanctification •  6 years ago

Therefore let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God...or do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, [remember] is not your own; you were bought at a price, so honor your bodies which really belongs to God - 2 Co. 7:1; 1 Cor. 6:19-20.
So a question we as Christians need to ask ourselves...and I'm not speaking of drinking in moderation, but excessive use of anything that maybe harmful to our bodies in which we are in charge of... How is polluting it, our bodies /his temple honoring God whom we are commanded to love with all our hearts, souls, mind, and strength? Or how is defilieing it, in over indulgences not a sin?
