down the block from 6th and University across from wholefoods I almost the perfect shot that almost included the Hillcrest sign but that old sign is now safely stored on display in a store down the street here, a great novelty item for locals....I imagine this place in the 1950s after I just watched American Grafiti and I feel nostalgia for a time I never lived ... vaporwave 90s and 80s nostalgia is just a yearning to return to the 50s... and I know they say movies made it look cooler than it was...but I also heat that the 60s 70s even 80s were cooler than you could ever imagine and without internet people had actual fulfilling jobs that made life more life a 24/7 Party in some ways, where you could get away with so much more without CCTV cameras and its just a tradeoff for technology and less freedom but ya know eventually people will master the simulation art forms and westworld shit will happen. with actors and robots simulating the old west or the 1920s or the 50s etc in a way you can actually experience long term with whole towns and special temporal safe houses where you can use electricity or wifi in a special zone if u need, I can totally see a reverse burning man type situation ovcuring_×@_ anyway I wanna experience long term time parks starting with the old west since it's been popularized or just trended in our mind scapes thanks to red dead redemption 2 .. you can charge ungodly amounts for hotel packages inside what is essentially a civil war re enactment camp lolol but way better.. and also a 1950s version where you can live out your fantasies from Grease or American Grafiti :D
