The Tortoise and it bald hair

Longtime ago , in the animals kingdom, when they still lived in unity. their lives was highly social, all the animals were except Mr tortoise. Not because he hated association, no, no but because he was the shy one among the animals and so lived his life in isolation and tensed from Expressing himself.

Now as years passed, tortoise grew old and he became too weak to farm. He had no wife nor children and it became tough for him to feed. His shy nature isolated him and could not ask for his needs. He had initially had many failed attempts to steal and his cunny twist had fully being used that no animal falls prey to it.

One evening , been beaten hard by hunger, he thought of his friend who was a very successful farmer.
"If only I can go to him, my hunger problem will die off" tortoise told himself

Since he was too old to walk such far distance to meet his friend. Tortoise seeked the help of his friend " the pigeon" who assisted to take him as far as he desired to go, with the promise to bring him some bags of food at his return and tortoise agreed to the term.

The pigeon made the arrangements for their journey and the following week they started on their trip, with the weight of the tortoise, the pigeon employed another and they journeyed him all through until they got to a marama kingdom where tortoise's friend lives .soon they (the pigeons) departed home.

Tortoise received a warm welcome from his friend, his hungry stomach was now being filled and he stayed a few more weeks.

Now tortoise was to return home and he noticed his friend's wife cooking a porridge, his favourite meal , he was so shy to directly ask for some and he stole some of the hot porridge and put it on his head which he covered with his face-cap. It started to hurt him deeply which he tried to hurry up before his hair gets burn but his friend kept delaying him with conversation, when he couldn't take it anymore, he ran from his friends presence and found himself a stream to cool off his head. This became the reason why tortoise are mostly found around the rivers

Tortoise got to the stream to noticed his hair has being burnt by the hot plate of porridge he put. Because of it the tortoise till date, have a bald hair
When tortoise noticed his hair had been burnt from the plate of food, he did not return to his friends place neither did he go home. He lived in the forest around streams and river. Whenever he noticed someone coming, he hide his face for shame and fear that the pigeon is back to receive his bag of grain.
