"Cut Yourself to Death" Bullies are thriving via the Sarahah app. Teen sends out a warning message.

If your kids have an app called Sarahah on their devices, you 100% need to delete it ASAP. like right NOW.
It allows its users to give 'anonymous feedback' to others on their social media pictures. It's being widely used for anonymous bullying, including adults as well, (often happening between co-workers.)

There's no way to trace anything, which is largely the attraction. Sarahah has over 300 million users and can be used with Snapchat.

You have to be sensible about what you're doing, and KNOW what your kids are doing. You MUST. Check their phones regularly, know who they're talking to, know if they're happy or not. It's not that you can't trust your child to do what's right, it's that their brains are actually still growing, even as teens, and their ability to make logical decisions is sometimes just not present enough.

Scary! @paintingangels when my son was growing up the worst thing was Mxit (I think that's how it's spelt). Now the stuff is so much more advanced. It's good that you can warn people about this, thanks.

Thanks for commenting. I have a pre-teen daughter and these kinds of situations are terrifying to me. Especially with all the violence in the news. Sometimes it only takes one little comment to make someone snap, or just to entirely devastate them and tarnish self-esteem. I feel like adults are largely unaware of this app, and how badly it's causing their children to suffer. But I mean even adults can be bullied, it has happened to all of us, I think. It's a problem that never ends.

Oh I had such a different impression of you from some of your earlier posts! Sorry! It sounded like you lived alone and I was concerned about you being ill .... you have a young daughter :)
And you're right about it only taking one little comment, it can become a resounding gong. I like to know what's going on especially with young people, because I'm a preschool teacher and also have a 10 month old granddaughter. Had never heard of Sarahah until now.

I'm married and a stay-at-home mom. But my husband works a lot and my daughter is in middle school and does a lot of extra-curricular activities, so I am actually alone a lot But I am on antidepressants (just one prescription) and in therapy. So I'm good. :) Preschool teachers are the greatest ❤️

Thanks for the kind words, I love being in the preschool. Three of my colleagues are on antidepressants, out of a staff of 12. It's quite hectic I think, suffering from depression and having panic attacks. I wish you lots of love and support.
