Sardinian beautiful spots : Portopaglietto - Portoscuso (CI) - Sardinia - Italy

 The beach Portopaglietto (Portupaleddu in Sardinian), is the town beach of the town diPortoscuso, a small town of about 5000 people in the province of Carbonia-Iglesias, in the south-west of Sardinia.The beach is a small stretch of about 200 meters by 25, with white sand amber, soft and fine, set in a small bay bordered by two cliffs, one of which is the tower of Portoscuso. The crystal clear water, the color is light blue, shallow water and sandy. There is the presence of some rocks on the sidelines, in the vicinity of the cliffs. And 'well it protected from the wind, and you may well find a few beached seagrass. Behind the beach Portopaglietto, meander through the village, which is located behind a small pine forest. In front of the beach you can admire the rock called The Ghinghetta.from Cagliari, take the SS130 towards Iglesias. Take the detour to Carbonia, and proceed on SS126, pass the junction for Gonnesa and also the first junction to Portoscuso-Portovesme, after less than a mile you will find another fork indicating Portoscuso - Seruci, get onto and follow the signs to Portoscuso. Proceed straight on the SP82 until you get to the village center, where you follow the signs to the beach Portopaglietto.There is a food court, frequented during the night. Pay parking near the beach. Beach Portopaglietto takes its name from seagrass, marine ball calls in Sardinian, or straw, as was common during storms, that large amounts of algae were deposited on the shore.
