I would recommend cutting the posts down for each day to maybe a couple, or even just one good one. Take the time you would use fro writing the others and mosey with other Steemians. Read peoples stuff, write good comments, join some discord channels, and engage with the people.
At the end of the day people are interested not so much in content as they are with people. Interesting people with interesting content is a win win situation. It's the only way to really make headway here. Unless of course you want to go the paid vote route, which could work out, but often times just get's in the way of actually finding real followers(There are exceptions to this, if you got the crypto to throw at it, and you are super interesting.).
But pretty much get out and mingle, otherwise who are you really writing for? You gotta earn your audience, and on Steemit really the only long term way is through personal interactions.
If you got the slightest bit of a funny bone, I'd seriously look at @comedyopenmic. It's a fun little insane asylum of talent.
