Studies Are Showing That Spending Most of Our Time in Bed is Optimal.

I have good news for all my fellow couch and bed potatoes.

It turns out being active is far less healthy than staying in bed and studies are finally starting to prove this point. I have been trying to get people to listen to the merit of staying in bed since I was just a child and wanting to sleep instead of going to school. Of course, I was forced to go to school where I was made to even be physically active...running, playing. I rarely got any time in bed aside from the eight hours of sleep. But now experts are saying that we actually need closer to 20 hours a day in bed. The four hours that are not spent in bed should be spent eating and watching T.V on the couch.

If you have to not lay down then make sure to sit rather than standing. The raising of your heart rate when you stand or walk is dangerous!! You want to keep your heart rate as low as possible. Your heart is a muscle and working it out will make it bulkier which leads to a lot of complications. You want to keep the heart-rate incredibly low to avoid bulking up your heart which leads to heart failure.

But Laura I always heard that working out and staying active is healthy...

Yes, we have all heard this for our entire lives but the truth is we were wrong. Getting extra fat on our bodies helps us stay alive longer by keeping us protected from harsh weather and keeping our heart rate low decreases the chance of having a heart attack. If you go running and biking for many hours a day who are working yourself into an early grave. One sold to you by people that want to sell you healthy food, vitamins, and exercise equipment. This information is kept from you because they can profit from misinforming you. I myself invested $300 into a recumbent exercise bike and now I have no idea what I will do with it since I know it was killing me.

How can I stay entertained while making sure I don't accidentally work out?

The best option for making sure you are comfortable and entertained is with media. Try not to read too much because that may make you restless causing you to want to stretch your legs. I would stick to watching T.V. and playing video games. Avoid things like the wii or other games that encourage you to move around. Try mounting a TV to your wall and laying down in bed while you play. Careful not to get angry at the game and throw around your controller because you may accidentally get your heart pumping.

Also, fun fact is that we really need about 14 hours of sleep a day, not eight so be sure to sleep 14 hours. This will make it so much of your day is already over and the more you sleep the more groggy and tired you will become making it easier to sleep for longer periods. If you are worried that your bathroom trips are making you too active you can always get a potty for beside the bed so that you don't have to walk too far to use the restroom. This is especially a good idea if you have to go up or down stairs to use the restroom!! You want to avoid stairs at all cost.

This post was inspired by @kaylinart's satirical posts. She said she was fine with me doing some satire posts because I realized it looked like so much fun. Please don't spend all of your time in bed. I mean I do sometimes but I am not healthy and you need to move.

We don't read the same studies:

https://www.livescience.com/49518-sitting-cancer-heart-risk.html

From my experience less i spend time seated or layed back and do soft exercices more i feel full of energy .

Spend 20 hours a day sleeping isn't a life, dead alive.

This is satire.

If you hit the link to "studies" and "experts" that is obvious. :)

Also I tagged it as satire and mentioned it is satire at the end. ;)

I've read so many fallacy today i felt for it :)

I think the truth is clear, and these studies are fault

It's Satire. I said it is satire at the end. The links for the studies lead to funny gifs and it is tagged as satire...

sorry, that's what happens when you don't complete reading something I guess :$

Leaders in awake studies have found that more people experience death in a vehicular accident where the driver is awake, and not a sleep, owing to the fact that sleeping drivers were happily tucked away in their own beds.

Another great point that is too often kept from us. :)

Satire? I am going to follow your advice... even if it kills me!

XD hahahaha

Pwaaahahahahahahaha love the "experts" link! Well done!

hehehehe I was hoping some people clicked it. There was also a link for "studies". XD Thanks.

Yeh I hit that one too but the cat threw me. It was grand! Lolz awesome article dude.

Yeah the cat was perfect. XD Thanks hehe. It was fun spicing things up. I just hope people don't read just the headline and unfollow me for being an idiot. XD

Well if they did, are they really the types you want following you in the first place? (O_o)

It depends on how much their vote is worth I guess? But assuming most whales are not that level of stupid? So you are probably right. :)

Hey, I looked at your blog and they seem so interesting :) I followed you, please return the favour :) WE NEED TO BE FRIENDS!!

I was soooo close to prepare a post about this post... Till I clicked the "studies" link... L.M.F.A.O.!

does that include spending hours on Steemit each day....lol :-)

Definitely. :D

There's an extra bonus for that, haha.

Now we are talking...."yikes -- steaming in bed"....no photos please :-)

Quits job and goes back to bed to make full time living off steemit

I'm cunfused I read the first two paragraphs.
Then I read the tags and it says funny and comedy.
So your not being serious? Lol bc this sounds pretty real; getting heart failure bc ur heart is too bulky. :/

No it is satire...The point is that I made it sound like I was being serious. Working out your heart muscle is healthy....it doesnt lead to complications. XD

Excellent piece! You totally had me going there! Excellent! :)

Our luck that we can just stay in bed and work on steemit :D

Exactly! Things are really working out in our favor. :D

Bummer. And I thought I'd found someone who shared my point of view. LOL I'm just kidding. Thanks for a great laugh!

Remonds me of a book I bought for my brother. It is called: You need more sleep, advice from a cat.
LOL

I knew this sounded too good to be true! Haha!

LOVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE It so funny heheheh :)OMG "Don't accidentally throw the controller because it might get your heart pumping".
Hahha NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hahhaa

Bed is the place to be! I love this post.

14 hours of sleep?! Cats commonly sleep between 12 and 16 hours a day, let's all become cats! =D YEAAAAAAAH!
It will give me more time to train my astral journey powers.

Great post. (Everybody says that, right?)
Cheers from Switzerland.
Feel free to check my last post, maybe you’ll like it! <3

Omg turns out this is NOT #fakenews ! i searched all over CNN and it was NOT on there !

This is satire which I made obvious.....

buh dont get your body all rounded and messed up, keep it curvy, eat proportionally since you dont need much energy staying in bed

Maybe you'll be comfortable and live longer if stay in bed, but you'll miss a lots of fun going out and socializing

This is satire. I am surprised how many people didn't see that as I put that at the end and also tagged it with "satire". hehe However, I currently am pretty bed-ridden due to extreme disability. Hoping to get relief soon. Have dr's appts set up. :) Living in bed is no way to live.

My bad!🤣 hopefully you'll get better and be well 👍

Yyyyeeeeessssss I was sure of it !

I knew their were other believers out there. :)

Yes ( I follow you can you do the same... No I'm joking seriously !)

sure its as its a satire a bit over the top. but there are some points where i think its not bad investing into it.
most people are lack sleep their whole life. most people are underestimating this. a sporty guy when doing lot of excercise needs at minumum 9-10 hours of sleep every day. doing meditation a few hours a day is also a thing very helpful. there are also with blockchain tech the possibilties to exchange energies from an overactive guy to a lazy guy. in other words the lazy guy is able to train his body just with staying into his bed. but he needs to have access to this tech. dont underestimate what this tech is able to give you.
Im practicing it myself from time to time. Im selling my energies to others for exchange

These sound like some pretty fishy studies....
