NOT A COINCIDENCE 26th February

Satisfied!

Joel 2:26 on February 26th

“And ye shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the Name of the Lord your God, that hath dealth wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed” Joel 2:26

Satisfied to the point of no shame!
That is one state of being that Jehovah God wants His children to be in ceaselessly. His perfect will for us is to be satisfied in Him. In fact, the Garden of Eden was designed as a Place of Satisfaction. It was a Garden planted by God Himself, watered by a river with four tributaries and decorated with all precious stones (Gen 2:8-10), satisfaction perfected.
The Almighty God wants us to eat in plenty and be satisfied but never to forget to praise the Name of the God that has dealt wondrously with us (Joel 2:26).
The Name of God that perfectly depicts Him as our Satisfier is El Shaddai, the All-Sufficient One, and Lord God Almighty.
As El Shaddai, God is the Breasted-One. Just like no food or drink can quite satisfy an infant like the nutrients from the mother’s breasts, so it is impossible to be satisfied outside of God. There’s no real or enduring satisfaction anywhere else or in anything else except in God. Also, just like no genuine mother will pluck out the mouth of her suckling child from her breast when it is yet to be satisfied, so it is impossible for God to chase us away when we come to Him for satisfaction.
God wants us satisfied, with amongst others,
• Goodness. He desires to saturate us with goodness, not evil. “And my people shall be satisfied with goodness” (Jer 31:14). Indeed, one reason He invites us to His House is so “We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Thy house” (Ps 65:4)
• Favour. God does not just want us favoured but to be satisfied with favour, “O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the Lord…” (Deut 33:23). This means if we are not satisfied with favour we can go back for more and more and more and yet some more and He won’t shun us nor call us greedy!
• Provisions. He wants us to eat in plenty and be satisfied but not wasteful (Joel 2:26). The Lord demonstrated this in the Miracle of Feeding of 5000. After thanking God for the meal of a child, there was multiplication for everyone to be filled to satisfaction until 12 baskets were filled with the fragments (Jn 6:6-13).
• Long Life. Enjoyable longevity is the original plan of God for us (Is 65:22-23). He said of us, “With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation” (Ps 91:16). There is no dying young. He wants to satisfy us with long life. Alleluyah!
Our Desires. God’s Word assures us that the eyes of all look unto God who opens His Hands to satisfy their desires (Ps 145:15-16).
Satisfied? If not don’t settle for crumbs. Our Father, The El-Shaddai God wants to satisfy us. His Hands are open now to satisfy that desire.

Prayer: Our all-Sufficient Father, the El-Shaddai, blessed be your Name for the satisfaction that comes only from you, in Jesus’ Name.

Joel 2:26 on February 26th - It is Not a Coincidence!

Let’s live ready for the Return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
You are blessed in Jesus’ Name.
