Saturation Saturday! The Dark Hedges.... not so dark anymore.

in saturationsaturday •  8 years ago

Hi steemit!  It's the fifth edition of Saturation Saturday.  The gist of it is that I choose a photograph from our travels that has interesting colors, then I crank up the vibrance to 100% and the saturation to 50% and post whatever the result may be.  I love seeing what otherworldly scenes come out of simply enhancing the colors of a natural one!

Today's subject is a photo from Dark Hedges in Northern Ireland.  This is one of the most extreme transformations of a Saturation Saturday photo yet! The colors of the foliage turned neon and it's looking like some kind of Willy Wonka shit!

The original is my favorite from the Ireland trip and I'll include it below.  If you'd like to know a bit more about this location, you can check out my post about it from a little while ago:  Visiting the Dark Hedges - GoT's "King's Road".

Thanks for reading! I post a nature/travel-themed blog every day. Please upvote if you enjoyed it and be sure to follow me @customnature so you'll never miss one!  See you next time.  - Adam
