On March 22nd, Saturn ingresses into Aquarius! However, we are only getting a short "preview" of Saturn in Aquarius as Saturn stations retrograde in May, and then re-enters Capricorn on July 2nd. Then we have more Saturn in Capricorn for the rest of the year.. and this is concluded by a nice Saturn Jupiter conjunction as Saturn ingresses into Aquarius "for good" at the start of 2021.
This should be nice as it's a bit of a relief of pressure coming out of a very heavy Saturn-Pluto in Capricorn time. I don't know about you but ever since Saturn went into Capricorn around Christmas 2017, things have been chugging along but it hasn't necessarily felt like the easiest stretch of time! I am optimistic about this Jupiter Saturn ingress into Aquarius for 2021, but thats sort of getting a head of ourselves- Right now we are given this preview of Saturn in Aquarius- but also keep in mind that at the end of the month, on March 31st Mars is going to conjoin Saturn there as well! This could be seen as a kind of frustration of Mars forward moving energy- perhaps we will run into some kind of difficulty that will be revisited later when we move into this Saturn in Aquarius era over the next few years.
Saturn itself is associated with Kronos- time, and has a special relation to the whole domain of time, fate and karma. We have just been going through a time that is characteristically very Saturnian, with a heavy lineup of planets in Saturn's sign of Capricorn- Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter, Mars, The South Node... I don't know about you but I am kind of excited to see a change of pace, It's not going to be so much on Capricorn we are going to see Aquarius kick into gear here as well.
Also keep in mind that Saturn will be making a Square to Uranus in Taurus as well.. so rather than the smoother easier Trine energy that was happening between Capricorn and Taurus, we are going to bet more of the tension and conflict of the Square. The square, a 90 degree angle, emphasizes the quarter mark- getting over "the hump", a pivot, turning a corner. I think in politics right now we can see all the stresses and tensions that come up as a collective or as a society when we try to navigate these corners that we approach in the pathways of time. When Mars enters Aquarius at the end of the month, it's going to apply some stress or pressure to this point of "pivoting" or making a corner. You can see the same theme repeated in the next lunation- after this Full Moon we will have a New Moon in Aries (Mars Sign), marking the midpoint between eclipse seasons.
