"Breathe," it said. "Come back to my voice. Let go. It'll be much easier."

I clenched my jaw tighter.

As I felt it leaving my body, I gripped harder.

"But I need to feel safe. I need something to hold onto," I cried.

"But darling, your whole life will forever be free. Just. Breathe. Feel into your heart. You know."

And as I closed my eyes , not knowing if I'd make it out alive, having not a clue what would happen next; with every cell in my body, I let go.

And out came a love I've never known.
