Is an Indian filmmaker and one of the greatest film directors of the twentieth century.
He was born in a Bengali family renowned in the world of literature and industry in the city of Calcutta. His ancestor's hut was located in Massoya village under Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj district of Bangladesh. He studied at Visvabharati University, established at Presidency College, Calcutta and Rabindranath Tagore in Santiniketan.
