what's the hardest truth of life?

  1. Only foolish people “expect” help from others. For the vast majority of people, there is no ‘help’ arriving from anywhere. Its only ‘you’, all the way. Self-reliance is the best policy - from finances to career decisions to daily motivation. Rely on nobody except yourself.
  2. The best things in life happen when you stop being afraid of ‘life’. At a very sub-conscious level, we are ‘afraid’ of many situations and conditions of life. ‘What if I fail in this exam?’, ‘What will people say if I do this?’, etc. Take them out of the equation, and see how your life and thinking changes.
  3. I have always stressed on this, and will continue to do so - There are no ‘friends’ in life. There are only acquaintances. They all vanish sooner or later. Only your goals and dreams stay with you.
  4. Do not always expect that your actions will lead to beautiful outcomes. This creates unnecessary headache. Commit yourself to things you are passionate about, but do not get too attached to outcomes.
  5. Good and bad times come and go. But these are not ‘ordained’ or ‘written in your destiny’ by anyone. Your actions will decide the longevity of good and bad phases. In short, you always need to ‘believe’ that you write your own destiny.
