How to Make and Spend Less Money in 2022 (Be Smart!)

in save •  2 years ago

Are you tired of overspending? This year, I'm going to show you how to spend less money than the previous year. Fasten your seatbelts.

You're looking for easy methods to save money this year, and I applaud you for that.

Why?

Because it shows you're interested in improving your financial situation and have already taken the first step (you're here, right?).

How to Spend Less Money than You Did Last Year

This is a guide on saving money that includes links to more in-depth resources for each of the tactics I describe.

I strongly advise you to click through each one.
But what if I just had three techniques to save money to share?
I'd like to share the following:

  • Reduce the number of times you go to the store: Buying groceries every other week instead of weekly will save you money on food (without having to use coupons). In fact, reducing the number of times you enter a business will ensure that you spend less money this year than you did last year. Not to mention, you'll be less susceptible to retail ruses.
  • One habit at a time: Trying to modify all of your habits at the same time is a recipe for disaster. Instead, focus on one habit at a time and figure out how to acquire what you want for less money.
  • Trade your time for the services you require: You may, for example, mystery shop your oil changes to get them for free (I used to do this for years!).

Below are the details for each of these ideas, as well as a lot more.

But, before we get into the techniques, you need to figure out what your benchmark is so you can tell when you're spending less than last year and when you're not.
