RAPE , WHY FORCE THEM WHEN THEY SAID NO?

As human beings, we are faced with many life challenges. We deal with some and some are beyond our control. We have read, seen cases of forceful 'mating' by men on women. You wonder what kind of 'evil' could prompt a forceful penetration of an innocent lady. Is this act learnt from friends or they are just normal way of doing things that ladies have to cope with? What about similar cases on man? Oops! You are wondering if men are raped too?
Without leaving the crux of this piece, lets look at the idea of rape and what it involves.

Rape! what is rape? To my own understanding it is an act of forceful penetration. Rape is a cognizant procedure of terrorizing wherein culprits keep women and girls particularly, in a condition of steady dread. Rape depreciates the casualty. It is a crime which derides the feelings, a crime of affront, persecution and reprisal that should be rebuffed on the grounds that an attacker is a criminal and all violations and their recipients must be rebuffed.

Rape and different types of lewd behavior require the pressing and genuine consideration of family, foundations, common society gatherings, government and the universal group in the event that we truly need to guarantee a brutality free society for all.

It is a seriously an awful ordeal that disproportionally influences women. However there is restricted data regarding the matter in our condition.

Boys, girls , men, women, all face this circumstance, not simply just female gender, possibly the male sexual orientations don't turn out to state they are assaulted in light of the fact that individuals will judge/question their prowess.

quoteWe must send a message across the word that there is no disgrace in being a survivor of rape. The shame is on the aggressor by Angelina Jolie

Most victims hardly come out to tell individuals what they experienced, Some guardians barely set aside a few minutes in having a personal discussion with their kids, Most African guardians/parents shy away from this duty, if we don't interact with our kids they won't confide in you. That brings my question : when is the appropriate time to talk about sex related theme with your children? Shying away from this can imperil their lives.

To what extent will this continue in our society? People tend to accuse the victim, they ask you questions like for what good reason did you visit him? Why did you go such a forlorn place alone? They continue asking why yet enable the assailant to walk freely? Affirm that aside, now let me ask, a 6months old do you need to scrutinize her? If we can't bring the evil perpetuators to Justice who knows what they will do next? The fault shouldn't be on the casualty, recall that she is the victim here. This needs to stop as it makes me extremely upset to see a video of a six months old baby being assaulted by a man who is mature enough to be her dad.

Oh! I weep cos it brings back memories. Sorry I am this enthusiastic, the flashback continues coming as I keep seeing more victims .

this trend is terrible ... especially raping little babies in the name of healing which was evident in some African countries... rape in any form is bad but it is part of deviant behavior that has been with man kind since long BC...however, the bad side is there are serial rapist who even use drugs ... rape drugs to drug victims even in clubs and take them home...after they will not even remember what happened... i will blog on same subject with some innovative ways to punish or deter rapist in my future blog...meanwhile.. take a peep on my latest post on human breast milk ...if good or adults...

In as much as there is no justification for this stupid act, young girls should desist from wearing clothes that exposes what should be hidden and also avoid high risk areas at odd times.

You're justifing such an act, now tell me, a 6months old that is wearing pampers what do you tell the her, or a 5 years old that was raped? Jeeeezzzz

@sweetestglo-eu everybody is entitled to their opinions (whether 'st*pid' or reasonable). You chose to share this with the community and you ought to understand that it is a delicate issue that will generate mixed reactions. So it is logical to only counter the claim without using the word above.

Kindly edit your comment above.

You completely misunderstood my statement, the above statement is not and should not apply to children. In 2011, a young girl in my area claimed to have been raped by a man who leaves close to the street, police was involved and the young man was released after few days because the police investigator (a woman) found out that the girl involved is always putting skimpy and other dresses that according to police are tempting. Therefore the case was closed.

When we are making claims or defending a position, we need to be very clear. Your reply on skimpy cloths is a justification for why people should rape and a hindrance to people's freedom to dress. Nobody is saying girls should dress naked but what kind of cloths can a small girl wear to tempt a responsible man into raping her?

The society has rotten that we attempt to justify anything under the disguise of making claim.

For me, no 'true' rape case should be seen as the fault of the victim. The evil in the accused should be dealt with.

Thanks.

You're still justifying it, its your decision tho... @smyle i have edited it, sorry i had to let my emotions cloud my sense of reasoning. @dubem i apologise.

There is no justification whatsoever for those who indulge in the act of rape. Since rape is associated with violence, it can only be practiced by deranged men whether temporary or permanent. Jesus Christ is the answer.

Strictier measures need to be put in place to check this criminal act

Such an important topic for awareness and discussion, thank you for posting.

Hmm..... Tears stream down my eyes as I read this and memories from the past floods my angry soul. Years ago, a little girl of six in my son's school was raped by a neighbour of theirs( a banker). This horrible act went unpunished while the little girl has been forever marred. Thank you for the exposition.

Would share a similar post too...

The shameless attackers go scott free , you can imagine and someone is justifying such actions..

I personally detest whoever try to force a woman to himself much less of one who rapes. If I had the chance, I would castrate anyone I find guilty of the said offense. Rape is a disgrace to manhood. Also I think the act is satanic or demonic. We also need combat it with prayer.

The horror of rape is terrible. It is one of the evils of the society. For me, both the act and the actor evil. Many suggestions have been made on how to rid society off this rampaging menace. Many in this part of the world (Nigeria) have suggested castration for the male actors which i am fully in support.

However, you might be wondering if deterrent has actually served its purpose in the past? What about the female actors? What should be their punishment? For me, the society needs to stand strong and rid society of this evil from its root.

Genital mutilation should be their punishment of which must cases leads to death, high risk of infection.. Thanks for stopping by.

Hmm my opinion.., there is no justification to this horrible act. And the society should sit-up in mercenaries plunder of coitus.it's very bad. You can't tell me that putting skimpy and other dresses like @dubem-eu pointed out here can result a well responsible man or grant him access to such a horrible act. Noo. Someone in that form shouldn't go unpunished.

Thank you dear.

Nice piece

Morality should be preach

Thanks for reading.

@sweetestglo-eu that'men given in to thier animal nature!!!

There is no justification whatsoever for any case of rape to happen. It doesn't matter whether the woman, girl or boy is going about naked or in skimpy clothes. All rape cases should be properly investigated and the perpetrators of this evil brought to judgement. Unfortunately, I do not have the statistics, but I think that a lot more women and girls have suffered from rape than men in Nigeria. It is sad that many women and girls do not speak out to admit that they were raped, because of the stigma and discrimination still attached to rape. Until we begin to see guilty men and women go to jail for rape, this societal evil will continue with impunity. This kind of enlightenment about rape, it's prevention and support from organisations including justice for people who were raped are what needs to be strengthened in Nigeria. Thanks a lot for this post, @ssweetestglo-eu! Keep them coming!

Thank you so much ma'am , i shall build enough courage to share mine, although its past, i penned it down somewhere to relieve my heart of such burden.. Thanks for stopping by ma'am.

I would start by saying that every parent needs to be extra careful. Now a child that was raped or abused sexually at six months... for goodness sake were went the parents, at what hand did they leave their child, to whose mercy. Sometimes I think the carelessness and nonchalant attitude of some parents have caused the children some problems, might not be rape lone but other assaults. Now as a child reaches the age of maturity as parents, sex education should be introduced as rightly mentioned. If a parent do not take up that responsibility then who would. This leaves the children naive. I remembered when I was younger, my mum would warn on no account should you enter into the neighbors room especially the bachelors and even the spinsters because their boyfriends could be evil. So I had this in mind and respected myself. Therefore, I think charity begins at home, Nigerian parents should please talk and let your children open up to you cause you are the only option they have. The victims should be treated with love as well and not scolded or accused unnecessarily. They are victims and that is already too much for them to handle. Thank you @sweetestglo-eu. You nailed it tight. Well done.

For the neighbour thing, mine was a different case scenerio, my mum would drop me off in our neighbours house, someone who couldn't hurt a fly as he was 'seen'. I hope a develop courage one day to share such stories. Thanks for stopping by.. I appreciate.
