According to the scriptures 1 Kings 9:15-28, Solomon as a leader threw much concern about how God will accept the temple and also his people. God said if he can walk in the ways as his father did then a throne will be established in his house.

1 Cor. 3:16,
"Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?"

God has a purpose of electing his own leaders in view He is more concern to the life and ministry of leaders. But as a leader, constantly you need to make your role dependent on the relationship with God and note that success has a way of leading people away from God. Of this course was the reason why God reminded Solomon about how he relate with him and of the promise on which the relationship is established and this includes succeeding generations.

According to the scriptures, Solomon build many structures but later go astray to the relationship he had with God. Solomon associate himself with the Egyptians and this was include marriage. He married a daughter of Pharaoh of which the race of the marriage was illicit.

Parishioners, success to your ministry and others areas of life requires great knowledge and care when taking any decision. There is no gift that is free from this world bit be reminded that there are strings attached to them. We need to pray hard, be faithful and carefully weigh our covenant and involvement so our actions so that they may not become anything which allures the enemy to cause our precipitous declined.
