Prayer: our talking to God

Persevere in prayer, watching over it with thanksgiving.
Colossians 4: 2
But you, when you pray, enter your room, and close the door, pray to your Father.
Matthew 6: 6

There are many ways of praying that as we all know is talking to God, we can pray in a quiet place or being anywhere we can pray in our mind in order to address God, because as we know he is at our side and is our way to communicate with him, as we know that he is our father and he listens to us.

Prayer is to speak with God in a natural way, of course having reverence, but what I want to say to you is that the prayer must come from the deepest part of our heart, to be sincerely, because God loves the sincerity of our heart, they are those prayers that come from the soul that God seeks.

The prayer is not based on repetitive words, nor on a list, rather it is a direct dialogue with the father in a way of trust before God, in a way to express ourselves with our God, prayer should not only be to ask things to God if not also to thank him for everything, and not every day we have to pray in the same way, every day is a new day to express God.

A pleasing prayer to God can have certain characteristics that will help us to express ourselves:

- We must first of all worship God:
Recognize his greatness to give him that time of adoration by his nature for his works.

- We must also recognize:
Our faults, our sins, confess the hidden, we must go with a clean heart.

- We must thank him:
For everything he gives us, for everything he does not give us, for the good for the bad.

- We must ask:
In a simple, simple way.

- We must intercede.
For others, when praying we should pray for those who also need it.

- And finally and I think the most important thing:
It is knowing how to listen.
Listen to the voice of our God.
Know how to listen to your answers.
Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit that guides us to all truth.

There is no better way to go with our God than through prayer, it is the most effective means of communication and it is available 24 hours a day, it is the only communication that never falls.
