STEEMCHURCH-VENEZUELA: Are you sleeping a spiritual nap?

in sc-v •  6 years ago

Some years ago I had a hard time waking up in the mornings. Each time the alarm clock rang, he pressed the repeater alarm button to sleep ten more minutes. But it was not enough for me to resort to such a strategy only once; I often pressed the button two, three and even four times. Happily, those days have been left behind. However, I am not the only one who has had to deal with this problem, since it also seems to afflict many people.

Often our lives are saturated with obligations and duties, and at the end of the day we are overwhelmed just thinking about everything we did and what we still have to do. It seems that we never get to sleep at a proper time, which in turn makes it difficult to wake up in the morning. When we finally get up, we feel exhausted and need to drink coffee or energy drinks to get going. This process is repeated almost daily, and each time we press the repeater button one last time before dragging us out of bed.

This was precisely what was happening to me, but that was not all. While he was accomplishing a lot in the physical aspect, the same did not happen in the spiritual area. Although I physically woke up every morning, in reality I was still spiritually asleep.

And you? Are you neglecting your spiritual life, even when physically your achievements are abundant? Is your life so filled with everyday concerns that you have little or no time left for the most important part of life? Are you, figuratively, pressing the spiritual repetition button again and again?

We know that physical sleep is essential in order to perform effectively, but did you know that the Bible says that spiritual sleep can be extremely dangerous (Matthew 25: 5-13)? The apostle Paul wrote: "For you are all children of light and children of the day; we are not of the night nor of the darkness. Therefore, let us not sleep like others, but watch and be sober "(1 Thessalonians 5: 5-6, emphasis added throughout this article).

That's right: spiritually speaking, we should all avoid pressing the repeater alarm button, and instead, we have to wake up and get going.

Jesus said: I work because my father always works, we must be active in spiritual warfare.

thanks pastor it is an honor to be your member of your church

he who sleeps a lot lives little
Although I also used to do that with the alarm on my phone but our country needs a lot of people full of energy to be able to progress and achieve our goal.
Excellent friend reflection

let's continue praying for the father's love towards me

In Ephesians 5: 14, sleepers are admonished to awake and receive the light that Christ beams. Happy New year!
