STEEMCHURCH - VENEZUELA: The Standard of Authority of God

While Jesus was teaching in the temple, the elders of the people came to him and

they asked, "With what authority do you do these things and who gave him this authority?

"answering this question, Jesus made a penetrating question, "The baptism of John, of Where was it? From heaven or from men"

(Matthew 21: 23-25)? For several reasons they they tried to ensnare Jesus they could not
answer this question However, in the Jesus answer, we learn a lesson valuable. With respect to religion, there are only two sources of authority, God or man.

Of the two, only one is the source Fair - God. The fair standard of authority is important because when our authority is
man, our worship is futile. Jesus said, "In vain do they honor me, teaching as doctrines commandments of men. "(Matthew 15: 9). Consequently, everything we do, whether in word or deed, we must do in the name or by the authority of the Lord Jesus (Colossians 3:17)
