International Hug Day is celebrated on January 21. A hug is a very significant gesture for those who give it and for those who receive it because, as it is said there, "a hug restarts life" and they are all those that are done with good will and with pleasure also those that we receive and give with the soul.
Many times we are not able to demonstrate through the embrace what we carry inside because we give each other a hug to our loved ones.
However, a hug may be what some of our loved ones who are going through a problem need because it is physically and psychologically proven that a hug can heal, restore, balance emotions, heal wounds, forgive among others.
Hugs in some cases are like a snack in times of crisis as they bring very important benefits and contributions to mental and spiritual health.
¡There are different ways to hug but whatever a hug is priceless!

A hug conveys "security, confidence, pleasure, balances self-esteem and regulates our nervous system there is no better than a hug when we feel anxious and tired. However, although we need hugs from our husbands, parents, children, grandparents, uncles, brothers, nephews, friends there is a hug we need to heal our soul and it is the hug of God
Matthew 11:28
28 Come to me all who are worked and loaded, and I will give you rest.
(Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)
when God makes this call to the tired, he is offering his arms to give us the best hug we can receive. Remember that sometimes we need a hug from God to carry our burdens.
A hug conveys: sorry, here I am, I am with you, do not fear, I love you ... and can affirm many feelings.
The Bible tells us of the embrace that the prodigal son received when to the father I received him
Luke 15:20
20 And rising, he came to his father. And when he was still far away, his father saw him, and was moved to mercy, and ran, and lay on his neck, and kissed him. (RVR1960)
This shows us that the hug is also a fruit of forgiveness because in this hug you could see a father rejoiced by a son who returns and a son who receives the love of the father summarized in a hug
How important are hugs in beings that love each other!
We can also read the following biblical statements that express how important hugs are
Ge 29:13
And so Laban heard the news of Jacob, his sister's son, ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house; and he told Laban all these things. (BLA)
This Laban hug to Jacob is a true show of love and satisfaction for the tenacity and discipline of serving God and obviously I use the hug as a sign of a patriarchal greeting full of affection.
In another case, hugs are a sign of consolation of joy, gratitude and love in the midst of suffering, because in this case we can read:
Ge 33: 4
And Esau ran to meet him, and hugged him, and lay on his neck, and kissed him; And they cried (BLA)
Esau's reaction to the hug is an example of surrender and love that some consider exemplifying as the prodigal son's attitude
It is really proven that human beings cannot live without hugs because we need to hug and be hugged and most importantly we need the father's hug.
¡There are no hugs like the father's!
