1 John 2: 12-17
I am writing to you, dear children,
because their sins have been forgiven by the name of Christ.
13 I am writing to you, parents,
because they have known who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young people,
because they have defeated the evil one.
I have written to you, dear children,
because they have known the Father.
14 I have written to you, parents,
because they have known who is from the beginning.
I have written to you, young people,
because they are strong,
and the word of God abides in you,
and they have defeated the evil one.
15 Do not love the world or anything in it. If someone loves the world, he does not have the love of the Father. 16 For nothing in the world - the evil desires of the body, the greed of the eyes and the arrogance of life - comes from the Father, but from the world. 17 The world ends its evil desires, but whoever does God's will remains forever.

When the Apostle John refers to the world, it does not refer to physical creation, but to the sphere of evil that operates under Satan's control in our world, that is, the system of things that have invaded the world against the laws and God's commandments.
The Christian lives in the world, but it is not licit to practice the things that displease God.
Living in the world, without participating in the spirit of the world, is the call that John makes to the family of Jesus Christ and to the church, why, because today, today's man lives in spiritual poverty.
When we understand the fullness of our inheritance in Christ, all the poverty of the world's offer is revealed and when we search in the deepest part of our heart and realize our spiritual condition, let us accede in the spirit to correct our faults and failures to overcome and obtain a glorious and victorious life.

When we truly deposit our feelings in God, the desires of the flesh stop intimidating us.
This is the reason why the apostle exhorts the children, parents and young people to be strong and to remain in the word of God so that they can overcome the evil one.
