Read and reflect on Isaiah 6: 5
Then I said: !! Woe to me! that I am dead; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people that has unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

When Isaiah, one of God's great prophets, had the vision of God, with the angels worshiping him around his throne, he realized his own unworthiness and sin. He said: "I'm lost!" When Isaiah confessed his sin, God touched him and purified him. The holiness of God made him aware of his own lack. He also did it whole.

Sin steals pieces from our soul . With so much sin, we become a pile of broken pieces. But the holiness of God is what purifies us and helps us to separate ourselves from all that is impure.
There is a correction between God's holiness and our integrity. That is why when we are in his presence, we become more whole. The holiness of God makes us whole. Each time the great men of faith in the Bible, such as Job, Abraham and Moses, had an encounter with God, they realized their own faults. That is what happens with us too.

You may be thinking, why do I have to be aware of my own failures? I already am.
Thinking about them is going to make me feel worse than I already feel.
However, understanding the holiness of God does not make you feel bad in such a way that it leads to depression. It makes you feel attracted to his holiness in such a way that it leads to restoration. It convinces him instead of condemning him.. It really is liberating.

The Bible tells us to "come boldly to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find the grace to help us at the time we need it the most" (Hebrews 4.16). Certainly we must be humble to bring our unworthiness to his throne. But we must also be confident because we know that we are called and loved. We can come before God at any time, knowing that He wants us there and that He will cleanse our hearts and make us more like Him.
Ask the Lord to help you understand your holiness. Then acknowledge your lack of holiness and pray that He will touch you.
