The daughters of Zion are so proud that they walk with their neck stretched out, with seductive eyes and short little steps, sounding the ornaments of their feet. For this reason the Lord will cover with scabies the head of the daughters of Zion; the Lord will leave you completely bald (Isiah 3:16)
The arrogance has its roots in sheltering an exaggerated concept of personal value. Who is rooted in the cusp of pride could consider others not only as their inferiors, but also as their servants. Haughtiness can be transformed into arrogance when the person is incapable of recognizing their mistakes and tries not to face their faults. According to the divine precepts, the best antidote for pride is an attitude of humility. However, those who are inclined to practice personal idolatry, will never accept that They need to be humble.
Maybe you know or have had to deal with someone like that. To those people the haughtiness makes them walk with their neck upright, and show a certain disdain or contempt for the correction or advice that comes from others. Their eyes look with indifference, they are cold and distant, and neither show embarrassment nor repentance for the wrong actions uq in realized.
The prophet says that foolish women, those who walk as if dancing, moving their feet with cadence, are not ladies inclined to simplicity. They can be intelligent but wise, they possess abilities and talents, but they may not have experienced the joy of to serve others. They live for themselves, and on rare occasions, when confronted with their mistakes, they feel defeated. Even the pain they suffer for some reason, even if it is very intense, will never lead them to correct their mistakes, it will only make them grow in them he desires revenge.
Friend and sister, God calls us to humility, to make profession of that virtue that will allow us to be considered as great women. A trait that deprives us of pride and helps us to sacrifice ourselves for others without feeling pain or regret. Today is a good day for us to beg the Lord to make us wear the garment of pride and to cover us with a cloak of humility.
Hi @susanalara!
Do not fall into pride, it is important to cultivate humility. A humble person understands that he is no one else, because all have sinned and have failed (Romans 12:16). Nobody is perfect. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.
In another sense, pride does not always mean arrogance. In some situations, pride means having pleasure and joy in something good. That is not wrong. Having pleasure in your conquests or successes is good.

Proverbs 6: 16-17 tells us, "There are six, and even seven things that the Lord hates with all their soul; 17 The haughty eyes, the lying tongue ... and the hands that shed innocent blood. "Pride is the main sin, from which many other sins spring up. Pride, in its most basic form, is to ascribe merit to our successes, and blaming others for our failures. Pride comes from an attitude, which says, "God, I do not need you. I am the captain of my own ship. I am the master of my own destiny. "
The proud person does not recognize that everything he has comes from God. Instead of giving God the credit she deserves, she speaks as if it were her own abilities and achievements. Pride reigns supreme in our culture: self-effort is valued, achievement is applauded, and stories of "poverty to wealth" are glorified.

There was a time in my youth that I was very proud, thank God I have improved, pride is a condition of the heart in which a person has supplanted the government of God over his life with the government of his own will. Instead of relying entirely on God, as was the design of God, a proud heart now sees itself to decide what is good and bad.
