Do not fear that I have redeemed, I have called you by your name, you are mine.Isaiah 43: 1
All human beings seek happiness, but the vast majority seeks it in wrong ways.
If we seek him from the heart, with all our being, with our mind and body, and let his statutes penetrate our life, letting them order our way of working and thinking, we will be blessed, free of sin and iniquity, leading a just life and straight. The only happiness that really satisfies is that which comes from a personal relationship with God.
"Follow the path that the Lord your God has set for you, so that you may live, prosper and enjoy long life on the land that you will possess." Deuteronomy 5:33
- Blessed are those who are perfect in the way, those who walk in the law of the Lord.
2. Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, and with all their heart they seek him;
3. For they do not do iniquity, those who walk in their ways.
4. You entrusted your commandments to be kept very well.
5. I wish my ways were ordered to keep your statutes!
6. Then I would not be ashamed when I obeyed all your commandments.
7. I will praise you with righteousness of heart, when I learn your righteous judgments.
8. Your statutes I will keep; do not leave me entirely. "Psalm 119: 1-8
Many times we see our way in life and all the steps we have taken in our walk. We have taken good steps, and also bad steps, right decisions and other not so much, highs and lows, triumphs and defeats, achievements and losses, and we think is this path correct? Could it be that I can correct it? Could it be that I'm wrong?
This and thousands of other simple but hard questions we ask in our lives, and we look for answers in other ways, in other people, or things that can not give us the full answer. In fact, our way of life is not over yet and we believe we know all the answers.
The Lord tells us: Separated from me you can do nothing (John 15: 5); Knowing this reality, then our path is nothing without God, because without Him we can do nothing.
God is the only one who knows all our paths, the journeys and even those that we need to know because he already has a purpose for each one. He knows us before he was born (Jeremiah 1: 5), therefore he knows the longings in our hearts and knows our needs. God knows what is the perfect way to go, God knows what is the shortcut you must take or the street you must walk, God knows where you should not go and also knows when you must stop.
God knows the map, the road, the exit and the arrival and left us a great example to follow, his only Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus was tempted in everything, that is why he knows each and every one of our afflictions and even so he says "follow me", Jesus sees how hard we take his way and even then he tells us to "strive and be brave". Jesus took a cross at his worst moment of agony, but even so, he kept walking in obedience because God showed him the perfect way and his purpose, and likewise that same Jesus tells us to "take up your cross and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). , Mark 8:24 and Luke 9:23).
If we decide to take another alternative, one that does not involve God, because he will respect it, because it gave us a free will, a free power to decide which way to go. Maybe that path can be sweet, happy, full of happiness, but for how long will this joy, this happiness, or this joy last? Remember that on the day of the trial we must render an account to God and that day his verdict will be final. It is better to put ourselves to account with God now that there is time, better to put ourselves on God's account before it is too late.
What is our path? How good are our steps? Which road is the one we want to walk ?. Everything starts from our interior, from a decision, a perfect path made by God or a path made by man ... That is your decision.
Beautiful subject @susanalara the road to happiness has a single name, Jesus Christ.
