Alot of redditors surged to alternatives like Voat.co following accusations of censorship in February, 2015

Voat couldn't handle the traffic and missed a big opportunity to grow.

If Steemit gets the same surge of traffic, which is likely to happen when it hits mainstream media. How fast could it scale to adapt to this increase in traffic and how would it effect the reward system?
