Wow, thank God I found this article. I got a pop-up message while I was logged on at Freelancer. I thought it was legit. He gave me his email ad and we had a few exchanges of emails. He gave me the details, exactly how you described it. I was getting ready to create an account using the payment options he provided. However, for some reason, I checked back on the job he posted at Freelancer. I clicked on his profile and I got the message "The account was closed". I became suspicious and googled up the email he gave me '[email protected]' . And voila, this post came up! Thank you for sharing your experience. You saved me from a whole lot of trouble, not to mention, money :). I was gonna go for Plan P4, which means I would have to pay $62 for a hundred pages of typing job. I’m sorry you got scammed, though. :(
