I see I have not missed anything at all on Steemit in the past 2-3 years. Just more low value, low effort posts, that somehow get rewarded 100s of dollars. And for what?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
