BIGWAVES SHUN SCAM

Curators on Project Bigwaves have been mandated to curate only and only original content and shun every act of copy/paste and pen thieves. Guidelines on how to get curated is quoted below:

The Guidelines

For posts to be eligible for curation by Project Bigwaves, a few guidelines need to be adhered to. The following are a few of them:

Posts must be by Nigerian authors only. This project has been setup to grow the Nigerian community and so we will be focusing on Nigerians only.

Only original content. Please make sure sources are linked properly. Plagiarism is strongly frowned upon so if you just "copy and paste", you shouldn't expect to get any reward.

Posts must have the #nigeria tag. Using this tag makes it possible for the curators to find your posts. It is very important so make sure to use it.

A single author may be upvoted only once every 24 hours. This is to make sure that the reward is spread evenly across the board.

The higher the quality of your post, the higher the power of our votes! We are not out to reward just anything but quality. The better the quality, the better for the community.

We would not be voting on any post @cheetah or @steemcleaners comments on.

In the last few days, Original and quality contents created by Nigerians have been curated with the help of the Nigerian urators and Steemit veterans @donkeypong, @hanshotfirst and @Infovore also not forgetting the support of @stellabelle. But there there are posts and authors that have been involved in full copy/paste, introducing Ponzi and pyramid scheme and photography/artistic theft. This act is regarded as SCAM and scam is not welcomed on the platform.

With the increase in population of Nigerian steemians, #Bigwaves wants to warn against any form of scam such as promoting a Ponzi and pyramid schemes, full copy/paste (plagiarism), claiming to author what is not yours and so on.

Great initiative, #Bigwaves team. I always admire your effort to look out for original Nigerian Steemians. I want to know if there is a way we can contribute too to discovery of great contents of Nigerian descent. Maybe comment a link to a post or community. I will be glad to be involved with that.

As an aside, maybe you may enjoy to read my Space Food Stick original story set in Lagos. 😉

The name Nigeria is a precious name to some of us. We Nigerians need to right all the wrong done by some Nigerians by making sure we represent that great country well wherever we find ourselves and especially on Steemit. There are many ways to reference a work. I can authoritatively say that the ways of referencing articles here is soft compared to academic thesis that you add name, year and pages or paragraphs. Please, let's us support a project that has Nigerians at heart by dishing out things written by us. #OneLove

100% agree with you, we really need to run a very clean house here.

I'm in full support of this move. Plagiarism is not just a sin against humanity but against divinity. Let's kick out this act of plagiarism.

Yes, and we, the people who have some influence must insist on making our voices heard against scams. Being vigilant about scams is really important.

I think the issue of scams should not be taken with levity at all, all necessary actions to curb it would be appreciated. Thanks @stellabelle, for the continuous support towards the Nigerian community.
