No, Peter Schiff is not a Globalist Shill.

One thing holding back the Freedom movement, are the conspiracy theorists. Any movement will be discredited If people start calling other people names based on nothing but speculation. Speculation isn't enough to condemn someone. Peter Schiff has been under attack by the cryptocurrency supporters for quite some time. Why? Simple, Schiff doesn't think that Crypto is a viable currency. Is he right? Maybe, maybe not. I personally think Crypto has something to offer the world and that Schiff is wrong. However, I don't condemn him for having a viewpoint other than mine. Freedom of speech is what allows people to move forward. It allows for people to express their opinion, no matter how wrong or outlandish they might be. Schiff isn't wavering his opinion, even in the face of monumental gains in the crypto space. It may mean that he is foolish, but purposefully misleading? I think not. He simply has an opinion and is sticking to it. Its called consistency, not evilness. Time will tell wether Schiff is right, wrong, or somewhere in the middle. Paul Krugman had an opinion on the internet, and it turned out incredibly wrong. This may or may not be Schiff's moment.

He is an expert on so many other levels and topics, I don't think its fair to bombard him with allegations over one opinion. Sure, its a big opinion. But Schiff is only one guy. If crypto really is the future he won't be able to stop it with his opinion. Schiff simply doesn't carry that much weight to sway the price of crypto or the adoption of it. He doesn't have ulterior motives. Sure he wants gold to go up, but I don't think he really cares what the crypto space does. He simply thinks crypto is a tulip-mania phenomena that will repeat itself. Gold is not a natural enemy of Fiat. It just isn't. Both gold and crypto can rise over time. They are not inversely related.

Calling Schiff a globalist shill is quite the claim. I haven't seen these allegations backed up by any evidence. Calling him a globalist shill requires evidence, not empty allegations. If Schiff really was a globalist shill, don't you think he would go about his "shilly" ways a little more discreetly? He calls out the U.S. Government, the FED, Presidents, Bankers, etc. Doesn't sound like a guy that wants a one world government. He wants a gold standard for sure, but not a global governing unit. A gold standard would make governments more accountable not less. How would a crypto standard make governments accountable? How would that even work, seems like the crypto space is really trying to make the FIAT system obsolete.

At the heart of the problem is this Gold vs. Crypto debate. Some members of each "party" despise the other side. Take cheap shots, and move on. Its interesting that each faction is going hard after one another rather than the fiat system they are trying to disrupt. In a true market, I think both Gold and Crypto can play a large role. They can even work in tandem. Crypto for the everyday purchases with no fees, and gold as the store of value. Maybe Crypto can one day figure out how to use credit, but I think a gold standards has that edge right now.

Back to Schiff, if he was a globalist shill, don't you think he would be pushing the role for government a little stronger? He has expressed that he wants government to be rather restricted in its power. He continually talks about abolishing certain government agencies. So if you look at the tangibles, Schiff is much more anti government than pro. Which is kind of the opposite of claiming that he is a shill.

Look, crypto is hard to understand. Took me a hot second to understand it myself. I think the people supporting crypto have to understand that it might take some time for people to get their heads around it. It will take education and explanation, but not name calling and allegations. This is an opportunity to explain how free market money or competing currencies are good for mankind. Those who don't get it yet, shouldn't be shunned. And who knows, this is all an experiment. It may not even work in the short term or long term. If crypto does work, it won't be because we force people to understand. It will be voluntary because of the benefits of crypto. Same goes for gold. If it is truly the best then the peaceful promotion and adoption is the only way for people to truly decide.

Yeah, I agree. I've really liked a lot of what Peter has said in the past... and he definitely called the Great Recession. I don't think he's right about crypto, but I also hope people go to gold and silver instead of government issued currencies.
