Irregular School Attendance: My Childhood Experience

As a child, I never really enjoyed going to school, but I had the privilege of studying in my father's school, which meant that I was spared from the harsh punishments that were inflicted upon irregular students. However, my attendance was still a cause for concern, and my father's constant reminders to attend school only made me more averse to it. Instead, I would often spend my time at home reading comic books or playing video games.

As a result, my attendance record was far from ideal, and my progress report would always highlight my poor attendance. Despite the admonitions of my class teacher, I found it hard to improve my attendance, as I would often skip school during the rainy season or during festivals.

On the other hand, there was a boy named Arif in our class who was completely dedicated to his studies. He would attend school even during severe storms, and his attendance record was almost perfect.

Looking back, I realize the importance of regular attendance in school, and how it affects a student's overall academic performance. As a parent now, I make sure that my own child never misses school, even for a day. In fact, when he was absent for a day due to fever, I had to apply to the school for his leave.

Conclusion

Regular attendance is crucial for a student's academic progress, and my own childhood experience has taught me the importance of being punctual and dedicated to one's studies. It is important for parents to encourage their children to attend school regularly and to support them in their academic pursuits.
