Before I begin writing about this I will introduce myself since I am new on Steemit :)

Hello, my name is Denis and I am from a small country named Slovenia, I enjoy watching anime as well as draw charachters, I have deep thoughts on some things in my life and I also plan to make fictions on some of the anime's I watch.

Now to begin with the problems of todays school systems I will first tell you my situation on my education. I am a average student in Slovenia and one of my dreams in life was to program applications & games or to be a IT guy. Now since I have started this school I have survived 2 years of the biggest pain in the ass system in our country since we stay in school from 7:00 in the morning to 15:00 midday, which I have to attend 24/7 for 5 years now if I want to clasify as a "programer". But my situation right now is that there is soo much useless knowledge being showed down my throat that it disgusts me and have started hating school a lot more on my 2nd year here. I have reached my 3rd year of high school and am about to finish it soon... or am I? 2 months ago in my school they had decided to put all tests into a short week and a half for 10 tests and being questioned by the teacher for a grade (I don't know the english word of this). But since then I have failed 7 of my 10 tests and have failed on multiple questions on subjects because of the simple reason that there was soo much to study and soo much anxiety came to me from this to the point when the tests were over I had decided to skip school for a week because I had to relax and put things back together.

That is my current situation but to point out what our school wants from us is to obtain a high level of knowledge "because you will need it in your future". I can happily say that is false since I work part time at a factory as a IT and rarely use the "high level of knowledge" working there, I had used basic math and had used a bit more of a advanced part in Excel to print out papers and other stuff, but nothing was complicated as they say in school. I even went a step ahead and asked my co-workers that had worked there for 10 years+ if they have ever had to use that or this in math, history or politics, they have said that that stuff was useless since who is gonna ask a IT guy if he can reprashe one of Bethovens songs. If school's would teach student's how to manage in life since student's have no idea how the real world works once they step out of school and start working, it would be nice to be guided and to learn what to do (example: paying bills, managing your money...) but instead schools like to brainwash people into thinking the same way they think its right, and the people that disagree with the teachers are called "idiots" since you had a different opinon on a subject on that particular class lesson. This has happened to me a lot and people in school make fun of me since I think different than most people there, but as I see the school system it's like I said, meant to brainwash into thinking the same way as every teacher there is in school and the ones that think diffrently are shuned and laughed at, this is the cruel reality we live in and it sucks to be honest

The good news is you are aware of this brainwashing early. I didn't start to figure all that out until I was about 26. Although looking back on my school years now, I knew there was something wrong with it, I just had no guidance from anybody. Questioning teachers led me to be suspended many many times and expelled from school twice. I was eventually "diagnosed" with ADHD because I wasn't putting up with their flawed system and put on medication. I definitely don't have ADHD as I can spend hours and hours drawing, woodworking, writing, etc. What I can't do is spend a lot of time on work that has no meaning or benefit.

The worst of it is, if you need to graduate to progress with what you want, then that's what you have to do. I ended up going back to graduate school while I was living on my own because I knew I needed that piece of paper. The actual information they were supplying was useless of course but I went back and pushed through. I'm not sure if it's easier knowing they're trying to brainwash you or not. I find it near impossible to go to work every day knowing I'm a debt slave. But, just because I know I'm a slave while everybody else around me is oblivious, doesn't make me any freer. All I can do is take steps, little by little to get out of it.

Good luck.

All I can do right now is to complete this education so I can get rid of it but I can't imagine myself doing the exact same thing for the rest of my life at work, I am a person that likes to draw, edit videos and build pc's but if I imagine myself doing one 1 of these things 8 hours per day just so I can survive it's going to be a pain since I like to explore my talents on different things
