Had a school (home school plus one) in my garage a few years ago and this little bell was one of my favorite toys.
Don't know how much the children liked it but I had some fun using it to keep them awake.
Didn't really have any trouble with the children going asleep. Mostly it was me trying to stay awake. I keep it around as a reminder of days gone by. Most of the memories of that era in my life are pleasant ones. I see the plus one where I work now and then and it must have been ok with them because I get a hug now and then.
oh yes the sound of the bell at the end of a school day. and we'd run or um walk fast to the bus to leave.
