School is an institution designed for teaching students / pupils under the supervision of teachers.
Most countries have formal education systems, which are generally mandatory. In this system, students progress through a series of schools. The names for these schools vary by country (discussed in the Regions section below), but generally include elementary school for juvenile and high school for teenagers who have completed basic education.
In addition to core schools, students in certain countries may also have access and attend schools both before and after primary and secondary education. Kindergarten or preschool provides schools of some very young children (usually 3-5 years old). Universities, vocational schools, colleges or seminaries may be available after high school. A school may also be dedicated to one particular area, such as an economy school or a dance school. Alternative schools can provide non-traditional curricula and methods. [3]
There are also non-government schools, called private schools. Private schools may be for children with special needs when the government can not provide special schools for them; religious, such as Islamic schools, Christian schools, hawzas, yeshivas and others, or schools that have higher educational standards or seek to develop other personal achievements. Adult schools include training institutions and military education and training.
The word school comes from Latin: skhole, scola, scolae or skhola which means: leisure or leisure time, where at that time school is a leisure activity for children in the middle of their main activities, that is play and spend time to enjoy childhood and adolescence. Activities in the spare time is to learn how to count, how to read and know about morals (character) and aesthetics (art). To accompany the children scola activities accompanied by experts and understand about child psychology, thus providing the greatest opportunity to children to create their own world through the above lessons.
Currently, the word school has changed into: it is a building or institution for learning and teaching as well as a place to receive and give lessons. Schools are led by a Principal. The principal is assisted by the vice principal. The number of vice principals in each school is different, depending on the needs. School buildings are arranged high to take advantage of available land and can be filled with other facilities. The availability of facilities in a school has an important role in the implementation of the educational process.
