Mozambique is known for its beautiful white beaches and crystal clear blue waters but it holds another little treasure that not many people know about, Mozamboogy!
This trance event with its mutli cultural vibe and people from all over the world, definitely felt different from the Trance parties I have attended in South Africa. It's a very relaxed environment as the party is held in Ponta Malongane dive camp and lasts for 3 spectacular days. The dive camp is right on the beach so if you are tired of dancing you can take time out with a view or head for a swim.
As the day turns into night the 'big name' dj's take to the decks. The entire atmosphere gets more hyped up most of the people head to either one of the the two dance floors to boogy. I just love the Octopuses garden theme and you can see that it's a well organized event. You also get a little present with your tickets from the organizers. We received the coolest 3D passport covers, they are insane and are fun when you spot someone else with that cover at the border post..you just know that you are from the same tribe.
It has been two years since we attended this last Mozamboogy because of the covid restrictions and it feels like I have not danced in a entire lifetime!
This weekend however the boogy is on once again and I am so excited. Dancing to me is exercise for the soul and my soul needs some shaking 😂
Let's just hope that the rain can stay away long enough so that the people that has traveled from so far can enjoy this time of freedom and relaxation that they deserve after such long lockdowns.
