Planet Mars Save A Lot Of Ice Water

Some time ago it was known that some locations on Mars have ice water below the surface, but there is no accurate way to know how much ice water reserves it. This time, there is good news about Martian exploration research, which states that there has been found under the surface of the ice layer to a depth of 100 meters, on the red planet. This new data was revealed thanks to two NASA satellites orbiting Mars. Both satellites monitor eight locations of eroded Martian surfaces, then process them into high-resolution three-dimensional images. There were surfaces and cliffs on Mars that consisted mostly of ice water, which gradually sublimated as it was exposed to the atmosphere. Each ice-containing surface has a different layer, which stores past climate records on Mars. Researchers say in the journal Science that these findings "could be a useful source of water for human exploration on the red planet in the future." Shane Byrne, a researcher from the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona, said that in the presence of this water, astronauts can actually go to the eight locations with buckets and shovels, then they get all the water they need. "This discovery gives us a surprise as we can finally see through the thickness of this thick underground ice," Byrne said in a research article, reported by NBC News. The ice on Mars is likely to collect when the snow falls and forms a thick layer. The location of this ice tends to be easier to achieve than the ice-covered Martian poles.
