Hello guys, today episode on (Knowing) we will be talking about uncertainty (you can also can also check out other episode on my blog which you will find interesting). This is my Birthday Gift to you all 😁. Let us dive inn.

Is there a way to understand if we have the right idea, the one on which it is worthwhile to invest time and effort? In creative processes we proceed by trial and make mistakes. Finding an idea is the first part of the work, then we need to develop it.

Uncertainty in the creative process is inevitable , but does not justify moving at random. Analysis, laboratory tests, writing and rewriting, field tests and many cups of coffee ( hard work, in short ) are used to get closer to the result. Having skills and experience in the subject you are working on helps you win the game.

INSIST OR STOP?

The moment we start to create something new, the moment always comes when we ask ourselves whether it is better to insist or stop. There is no creative process without doubts and the right idea remains a mirage.

Thomas Edison , one of the most famous and celebrated inventors (he is not only the father of the incandescent light bulb, in his life has registered over 1,000 patents) said:

Many failures in life are people who do not realize how close they are to success when they decide to surrender.

By Thomas Edison

This concept often comes back in the words of many coaches and motivators, who forcefully repeat you not to give up to get your goal. Insist is the magic word. Many people have achieved extraordinary results by throwing their hearts over the obstacle, in a serious and profound act of faith in their abilities and in their goal. For example : If v. Marlon Brandohad listened to the judgments he got in his first auditions, he would not have become the actor we all know.

THE ANSWER

The reason is simple: nobody knows us better than ourselves. That does not mean that at this precise moment we know who we are and what we want, because awareness is also a path that, like creativity, does not end in a simple question. It takes time and leads to living with many doubts. Were you not thinking that it was all easy?

Over time we go from a rather naive vision of creativity, where we think that an instantaneous lighting put everything in place, a more complex design. Creative thinking is a process , even if often the thing that remains under the eyes of everyone is the final result, the solution we all admire and find brilliant.

Above all, creativity is not a forward race in forced stages , because it knows setbacks and second thoughts, and not all donuts come out of the hole, my grandfather would have said.

HOW TO FIND THE RIGHT IDEA

In short, we cut short, to find the winning idea it takes patience. There will be a reason why since childhood they tell us that patience is the virtue of the strong , right?

To reach the goal also serves:

  • Cold blood
If you block yourself in your project is not a misfortune, and I must say that I am one of the first person that often repeats it because the temptation to immediately search for a positive result suddenly takes and confuses ideas.
  • Stop and reflect
Stopping everything is a good way to start asking questions and feeling where the wind is blowing. What do we really want to do with our project?
    Think "and if instead ..."
We must not abandon force, but we must know that changing point of view, or even objective, is in itself a creative attitude.

  • To bear a bankruptcy
One of the fundamental qualities of creative people is the ability to accept that something can go wrong, taking advantage of the error to get a useful lesson.

However you see it and in whatever situation you are at this moment, the moment will always come when you are assailed by doubts. The fear of being wrong, or of having lost something fundamental by changing perspective, often knocks on our doors. Knowing what is happening to everyone, and seeing that many people are keeping up with the fears, teaches us that it is a common problem and that we can face it without getting overwhelmed.

MENTAL ELASTICITY AND OPENNESS TO CHANGE

The method of insisting on exhaustion in one direction should not convince us too much, especially when you see that the results ( even minimal ones ) do not come for a long time. There is a limit beyond which the determination becomes clinging to something so as not to admit a failure . And so the damn right idea will never come.

Knowing how to remove oneself from blind alleys is a quality that should not be underestimated. Not only that, what seems "right" today may not seem like it tomorrow. It serves mental elasticity.

“Sometimes change does not depend on us and brings surprising news , we know its potential”
