Humans are omnivorous beings, but from there to eating our fellow species there is a big difference, although we are equally curious about how our flesh is.
If you are curious or you want to know if a cannibal friend is feeding correctly, today we tell you how nutritious human flesh is and you are sure to surprise.
How nutritious is human flesh?
The cannibals who tasted it describe their taste as similar to that of pork or beef, although a little stronger, human flesh is taboo as food in our society although perhaps you were once curious about how delicious and nutritious you are.
British archaeologist James Cole studied cannibalism in our ancestors and based on existing data calculating how nutritious adult human flesh is. As a clue we tell you that it is less nutritious than other mammals.
The flesh of an adult human body weighing 65 kilos contains about 125,000 calories, although not all the structures deliver the same. For example, a kilo of muscle has 1300 calories, quite a bit compared to that of other animals. The heart is quite "light" with 651 calories whereas torso plus head has 5419 calories. Brain, spinal cord and nerves adjoining calories deliver 2706 calories as a whole.
If you want a hearty meal the thighs are the most calorie delivered with 13354 each, followed by the upper arm with 7451 calories. Organs like lungs, liver and kidneys possess 1596, 2569 and 376 calories respectively.
James Cole, who obtained this data to find out what led some of our ancestors to resort to cannibalism, believes that this was not a nutritional need since other animals that could hunt without problems at that time were much stronger and more nutritious.
For example, by hunting a mammoth a group of 25 humans got enough food for two months, while one person barely reached them for a single day, so cannibalism had another role.
This archaeologist from the University of Brighton in the United Kingdom and who published this data in the journal Scientific Reports, speculates that cannibalism was more part of rituals, whether funerary or as a form of aggression.
Although cannibalism continued to exist in modern times and even our days, this occurred either because of a need that could not be covered by other food such as the Uruguayan rugbyists lost in the Andes for 72 days after An air crash or in people with serious mental disturbances as we see in cases of cannibalism carried by twisted personal desires.
Would you be willing to consume human flesh in case of absolute necessity?
Not a chance. Too revolting and I'm pretty sure that goes against ALL of God's laws.

The Andes story is such a traumatic situation and I sincerely hope nobody ever finds themselves in a similar situation. That's a case where "you gotta do what you gotta do"

Yes I am very opposed to societies norms and would try it just for the taboo experience. I personally would kill the weakest person in a survival situation already to better the odds of survival, so why not make
