A few thoughts concerning polarisation.

I have a few issues with this video:

What if the photon is actually a 3D form, with its intensity defined as the volume inside a rotating sine wave. Since you only modulate amplitude trough phase-shift with cut-off the actual volume is still roughly 80%. Without the phase shift you get blocking of any waves since the perpendicular configuration tries to project the horizontal component onto a vertical axis... So we get a linear scaling effect on the radius of a 3D item that conveys intensity...

Why can't we just leave flatland and forget about supposed quantum weirdness.
